Ensuring quality education with IB learners profiles
Greetings to all, my name is Raiyan Al Mahin from Abdul Kadir Molla International school, I am here to talk, share and discuss about the IB learner’s profile’s importance, how to ensure quality education with IB learner’s profiles (All 10 IB learners profiles), problems of not having quality education, negative impacts of not establishing quality education or even basic education, advantages of having quality education, importance of having quality education, how to ensure quality education and what is quality education to us students, facts about quality education and at the last but not the least my conclusion about our small talk.
Importance of IB learner profiles: IB learners profiles have lots of importance in IB curriculum and in pyp exhibition. IB learner’s profile helps a student to have a good range of capabilities and responsibilities which not only require or stays in study but also go far and beyond that situation for example in daily life or a society which helps to have a good lifestyle, to be a good human being and to ensure quality education.
The importance IB learner profiles in PYP exhibition: In the PYP exhibition IB learner’s profile is a very important and a very big part which we learners use to demonstrate our learnings and show how we worked independently, collaboratively and cooperatively and also collaborated with other students and groups to form a creative visualisation of our whole primary year program (pyp) session.
So this is the importance of IB learner’s profile in our daily life and in PYP exhibitions.
How to ensure quality education with IB learner’s profile: To know how to ensure quality education with IB learner’s profile first we need to know how to ensure quality education. To ensure quality education we need to share, implement, acknowledge, take actions etc and according to UN quality education (sdg 4) is ‘ensuring inclusive equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunity for all which is exactly what is the IB learner’s profile are trying to achieve and if we just implement the IB learner’s profile to every schools and curriculum we can have quality education all around the globe.
So this is how we can ensure quality education through the IB learner’s profiles.
Reasons behind not having quality education: There are many reasons for not having quality education which can have a big impact on an individual, society, country, planet earth and possibly even humanity. The problems or the impacts are:
1. Not enough advancements
2. Not enough necessary things to survive.
3. Low wages
4. Negative lifestyles
5. No stable life
6. poverty
7. Poor health
8. Unemployment
9. Lower life expectancy
10. Lack of voice
11. Inequality
12. Bad mentality
13. Lack of choice
14. Lack of ownership
15. Not able to reach the potential
16. Not able to meet expectations
17. Lack of entrepreneurship
18. Economical flaw
19. Bad economic
20. Bad future
21. Lack of opportunities
So these are the disadvantages of not having quality education and a slight glimpse of the future if we don’t have quality education.
The advantages of having quality education: Having quality education brings a lot of positive impacts on an individual’s life, society, country, planet earth and even humanity. The advantages are:
1. More advancements
2. Enough wages
3. More opportunities
4. More voice
5. More choice
6. More ownership
7. Good health
8. Good mentality
9. Boost of confidence
10. Ability to do anything
11. Good future
12. Stable life
13. Good lifestyles
14. Good economic
15. No more economic flaw
16. Equality
17. Enough necessary things
18. Preventing from poverty
19. Employment
20. Higher life expectancy
So these are the advantages of having quality education and a slight glimpse of the future if we have quality education.
Negative impacts of not establishing quality education or even basic education: As we already know that not establishing quality education creates lot of problems in our planet, but first let us know why is this happening to us; Unemployment, not knowing the importance of it, beliefs and values, sometimes for our ancestors, bad economic, lack of interests towards it specially from parents and many more. Now let’s know about the problems of not establishing quality educational systems, well there’s lot of problems about this for conclusion; lack of knowledge for an individual, holding back their life, bringing obstacles in their life and in society, fall of economic condition, unemployment, lack of advancements, limited to their skills which will lead to lack of opportunities, bad health, unbalanced life, unable to keep up with the modern day society, bad future, bad lifestyles, not having qualification for any way of income, unable to reach an individual potential, unable to develop humankind and planet earth, personal growth to the growth of the society to growth of humanity will be unable to do etc. Which can even lead to human race problems which will make a hard time living together on earth and bring an end to humanity and life on earth.
So over here we talked about the bad impacts of not establishing quality education and what could happen to humanity and life on planet earth if we do not establish quality education.
Importance of quality education: So now let’s talk about the importance of quality education and why it is such a big and important part of our daily life and for the future of humanity. The importances are:
Lack of quality education is a very crucial problem, it has its own problems and impacts upon the world. It helps to enable different skills and knowledge about something it, it help us to get a job or to do anything in the social hierarchy, it also help the society to be more advanced and efficient society, it help to reach a person’s potential, it it helps the country to be more productive and more advance and it also help the country’s grow rapidly, it makes the lives of people more effortless and a balanced life, of we don’t have quality education then everything from personal skills, personal growth to the growth of the country to the advancements of human life could be very hard to enable which will lead to personal, social and human race problems which may lead to extinction of human life.
How to ensure quality education: We now know the importance, advantages of quality education and the disadvantages of not having quality education. Now we will know and talk about how we can ensure quality education. To ensure quality education we need to do;
1. Spread awareness
2. Nurture everybody’s mind
3. Donate educational resources
4. Make funding a new priority of all
5. Provide facilities
6. Manage overcrowding
7. Higher graded teachers
8. Better trained teachers
9. Raise the standards for teachers
10. Lower the school fees
11. Provide more facilities
12. Use technology to reach and deliver education all around the planet earth
13. Join a network and work as a team to accomplish the mission.
14. Do your responsibility correctly
15. Take necessary actions towards it
16. Make it more accessible
17. Support organisations or teams that work on your missions
18. Start working from your nearby places
19. Spread quality education all around the planet earth and humanity
20. Train the next generations
So that’s how we humans can ensure quality education and remember these steps can be taken by any age person (age: 10 to 60+).
What is quality education to us students;
Quality education is an education which not only provides the basic learnings but also the things that we mark as optional it also ensures equal education, opportunities and lifelong learners among all of us. It drives us to sustainability which leads to affordable technical and higher education, equal skills among humanity, access to jobs and way of income, less unemployment and more deployments, better financial situation, financial success, entrepreneurship, eliminating discrimination in education, equal knowledge, more advancements, equal education, brings universal literacy, sustainable development and global citizenship, better future, better lifestyles, qualification for any jobs and in advance developing countries and planet earth and that’s what is quality education.
Facts about quality education:
1.In most developing countries, public school is not free. The costs of books, uniforms, and teachers’ salaries are borne by the students’ families.
2. 67 million primary-school-age children are still denied the right to education.
3. As many as 115 million children of primary school age are not enrolled in school.
4. More than 226 million children do not attend secondary school.
5. Illiteracy is highest amongst females. In more than 20 developing countries, illiteracy rates amongst women exceed 70%.
6. Of the 67 million out-of-school primary-school-age children, 53% are girls. Of the lower secondary out-of-school adolescents, 52% are girls.
7. While girls are less likely to be in school, boys are more likely to repeat grades or drop out altogether.
8. Educated girls and women are less vulnerable to HIV infection, human trafficking and other forms of exploitation and more likely to marry later and have fewer children. An education can help decrease the spreading of infectious diseases.
9. Children born to educated mothers are less likely to be stunted or malnourished. In fact, each additional year of maternal education helps reduce the child mortality rate by 2%.
10. The African continent has areas with less than 50% literacy among children ages 18 and under. In comparison, the youth literacy rates in South American and European countries are among the highest with 90-100% literacy.
11. In developing, low-income countries, every additional year of education can increase a person’s future income by an average of 10%.
12. Ethiopia: By applying an education sector plan with affirmative action towards girls, the country went from a girls’ enrollment rate in primary education of 40% in 1999 to 90% in 2008.
13. Burkina Faso: The Government management to change the label of girls’ education from ‘worrisome’ to ‘progress’ within a couple of years. The number of girls enrolled in school increased 73% between 2002 and 2008, and increasing numbers of girls are continuing onto secondary school.
14. A 10 to 20% increase in women’s wages is associated with each additional year of schooling.
15. When women and girls receive an income, they reinvest 90% of their income into their families, as opposed to 30-40% for men.
Our conclusion about today’s small discussions: So what did we learn from today’s discussion, from today’s discussion we have learned that IB learner’s profile’s importance, how to ensure quality education with IB learner’s profiles (All 10 IB learners profiles), problems of not having quality education, negative impacts of not establishing quality education or even basic education, advantages of having quality education, importance of having quality education how to ensure quality education and what is quality education to us students , facts about quality education and we went extra deep and defined with our today’s talk and I hope we have learned and I can at least nurture some of yours mind about quality education and basic education and showcase a creativity visualisation about our several big ideas.
