Ways to attain well-being
● Taking proper sleep
An average person needs at least eight hours of sleep every day and our bodies like regularity so try to go to bed at the same time and follow it on a daily basis, same goes for waking up too.
● Having a balanced diet
It is important that we have a balanced meal with different nutrients in it so that we can get a lot of energy and avoid having diseases.
● Exposing your body to morning sunlight
When you take sunlight, you also are taking vitamin D. Well, you should only take sunlight before 12:00 pm because after that, it won’t do any good to your health but it may harm you
● Exercising Regularly
If you exercise 9 hours a day for a change and you don’t see any so you decide to do the same for the next day and still see no change and lastly you give up but, you see exercising is about consistent because if you exercise 20 or 30 minutes every day, you’ll see change and exercising regularly can make you come to a proper weight level and decreases your chances of getting ill or sick.
● Finding to practice new hobbies
It will get boring when you do the same thing every day with no change and it’ll not be good for your mental health so try doing something new! Take new challenges! Find solutions! Not only will you start feeling like a risk-taker but you will also help your emotional and mental health that way.
● Maintaining strong relationships with friends and family
Communicating and sharing your emotions with your friends and family will lead you to have good mental health and emotional well-being.
● Having a sense of Purpose and meaning in life.
It’s important to have a goal as you will feel that something is missing and that you don’t have your contribution. For which you should always have a purpose.
● Enough Money
Having enough money is only connected to attain well-being as it helps us to improve our living conditions, but some people think that it is one of the fastest keys to attain well-being but it is not true as it may increase your happiness but only to a point.
How technologies connect with Well-being?
Technologies can help you in many ways to have a good health and some of the ways are:
Health apps can help you to keep track of certain dimensions of well-being
Ease of Research: Before many people used to die just for the lack of knowledge but now the research field has increased with many people researching every now and then and you can now stay at home and research about any disease.
Fitness gadgets: Now we have gadgets to help us get into the best body shapes and stay put to a healthy weight level for example: Treadmill, weight lifters and skipping ropes etc.
Having remote access to healthcare:
Now having remote access to healthcare is very helpful for people nowadays because how it works is that you video call a doctor or a healthcare professional and they also join you, then you talk about your problem and they also tell what you should do to get rid of that disease so you are getting your problem solved from home which saves time and money. And it is understandable why it is now on a peak these days.
Our suggestions on how you can attain well-being while being challenged with devices:
When getting challenged with devices you can:
Make a new healthier routine:
Make a new routine which you will try to follow as getting away from devices is not easy especially when we need it in our daily lives. When you’re starting to make changes start small then make more changes, when you start to get the hang of it.
For example: I want to reduce the time I am spending on my phone and spend time with my family more so what I can do is to take a piece of paper and a pen or pencil then start writing of graphing my new healthier routine where I start decreasing the time I am on my phone by 30 minutes or less, that way the next day I can reduce more 30 minutes and keeping up with that eventually I will reach the time where I must need to work on my phone for important things and then I will have a plenty of time left to do new things!
Tracking your well-being:
For example: I want to track my sleep and I can do that by noting down the duration of the amount of sleep I am getting and then after a week or so when I check I will know where I need to improve plus I can also know in which days my sleeping duration goes up and which days it goes down.
Have a purpose:
If you are just mindlessly scrolling through devices it is not one bit helpful for your health so set a goal of what you want to do with the devices and when you set the goal you will also find that something things that you do with your devices are not important at all but have a great impact on you which is that, that things are the things that makes you use the devices more and make you do nothing that actually helps you in any form so when you are setting a goal make sure to list the things that you truly want to get done with and search ways you can be more productive in life.
- How can you make technology help you to improve your well-being?
Set a reminder or Alarm:
This is something most of the people around the world do around the world to wake up early but did you know that you can use it for more useful things that saves you a lot of time.
For example: I can set a Timer of the time by which I want to get done with my tasks well if you do something while setting up a timer you feel more focused on what you’re doing and will rarely get distracted but some people take it as a competition which leads them to just think about what will happen if they finish all the tasks before the time, in reality that is what that is distracting them won’t help them to be focused too.
